I absolutely loved my first year at Spelman. There’s something so amazing about being in a space surrounded by amazing, strong, ambitious black women. I had the privilege of meeting so many amazing alumni including Ms. Sherita and so many more. I met so many amazing people in the Atlanta University Center and made some lifelong friends. I am so grateful to her and the rest of the Suite Dreams team.

The Suite Dreams Dorm Essentials Scholarship has dramatically impacted my college experience by allowing me not to have the financial burden of having to purchase dorm essentials. With the scholarship, I created a comfortable and organized living space, allowing me to focus on my studies and extracurricular activities. Receiving the scholarship helped me realize that there are individuals and organizations that genuinely care about my academic success and personal development. The support I received from the scholarship gave me a sense of encouragement, confidence, and motivation to pursue my goals and continue striving toward excellence. Her dorm room looks amazing thanks to your scholarship award, and she has had the best Freshman year! She was just inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Collegiate Honor Society and currently maintains a 4.0 GPA.
